A 32-year-old man was shot last week in the Mount Vernon area.
According to information authorities released Monday, police were called at about 4 a.m. Friday to the 8200 block of Claremont Woods Drive to the shooting incident.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body, police said. Police are investigating the possibility that the suspect and victim were known to each other. Authorities did not release a description of the shooter.
