A man walking in the Mount Vernon area was assaulted and robbed, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
The incident took place at about 7 a.m. Friday on the intersection of Seven Woods Drive and Tamarind Street. Police report that the man was approached by two men, who assaulted him and took property.
The victim suffered injuries that were described as non-life threatening.
