Police: Man Robbed by Two Men Brandishing a Gun in Mount Vernon

FCPD recently switched from weekly crime reports to daily activity reports. The following information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department in their daily report released April 23. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

The following items are from the recent daily activity report from the Mount Vernon Police District of the Fairfax County Police Department.

ROBBERY, Fielding Street/Havenwood Place, 4/22/13, 10:20 p.m. A 24-year-old reported he was sitting in a vehicle when two men approached. One suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money. They fled with the victim’s wallet. The victim was not injured. The suspects were described as black men, 20-25 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and skinny. They were wearing black clothing. The helicopter and a K-9 team assisted in searching for the suspect but no one was located.

BRANDISHING/DWI, 8100 block of Fordson Road, 4/22/13, 8:30 p.m. Officers responded for two men fighting. An investigation revealed the two knew each other and an argument became physical. One man allegedly brandished a handgun. The other man fled and drove away; he was stopped by officers. William Frye, 41, of Maryland, was charged with brandishing and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Thomas Bell, 46, of Maryland, was charged with eluding police and DWI.

BURGLARY, 7700 block of Richmond Highway, 4/22/13, 11 p.m. Officers responded for a business alarm and found the front door was smashed. An employee confirmed several items were stolen to include speakers.
