Police: Teens Assault Man, One Boy Reportedly Holding a Gun

The latest weekly activity report provided by the Fairfax County Police Department in the Mount Vernon District. Mentioned arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following are incidents reported by the Fairfax County Police in their weekly report.

Brandishing/Assault
 (red on map), 9:20 p.m., July 18, 3400 block of Lockheed Boulevard, A 34-year-old man observed several juveniles with what appeared to be a handgun. He requested the gun. 

Allegedly, a 13-year-old boy brandished the handgun and other juveniles began to assault the victim. The victim received minor injuries. Five boys, ages 16, 15, 13, 12, and 12 were apprehended and turned over to their parents with charges pending. Another 13-year-old boy was arrested and charged with mob assault, brandishing on school grounds, and trespassing.

In separate and unrelated incidents:

Robbery
 (blue on map), 11:30 p.m., July 19, 6400 block of Richmond Highway, Two men, ages 22 and 29 heard a knock at the door. They were confronted by three men. One man brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspects fled with cash and a cell phone. No one was injured.

Robbery
 (blue on map), 11 p.m., July 19, Buckman Road/Rolling Hills Avenue, A 47-year-old woman was walking when a man approached from behind and grabbed her purse. She was able to hold onto the purse. The suspect got a hold of her headphones and fled. She was not injured.

Robbery
 (blue on map), 11:40 p.m., July 19, 3300 block of Sparrow Drive, A 16-year-old boy was walking in the area when two men assaulted him and stole cash and a cell phone. The boy was not seriously injured.

Burglary
 (green on map), 3300 block of Southgate Drive, 7/21/13, 10:50 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole cash. Forced entry was made through a side door.

False Report
 (pink on map), 11 p.m., July 22, 6600 block of Wakefield Drive, Officers responded for an alleged carjacking. Following an investigation, Yeni Corea Reyes, 31, of Maryland, was charged with filing a false police report.

Shoplifting 
(purple on map), 3:20 p.m., July 23, 6600 block of Richmond Highway, Officers were called for an individual who was allegedly attempting to steal televisions from the business. The individual ran as officers arrive. Following a short foot pursuit and investigation, William Morgan, 34, of Woodbridge, was charged with two counts of grand larceny.

Burglary 
(green on map), 3:50 a.m., July 23, 6900 block of South Kings Highway, Officers responded for an alarm and found the front door of the business broken. It is unclear what was stolen.

Burglary
 (green on map), 11 a.m., July 24, 8400 block of Camden Street, A resident reported someone entered the home but nothing was stolen. Entry was made through an unsecured door.

Obstruction of Justice
 (turquoise on map), 9:50 p.m., July 24, Groveton Street/Harrison Lane, An officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver fled on foot. Following an investigation, Jonathan Spratley, 22, of Unionville, VA., was charged with speeding, driving on a suspended license and obstruction of justice.
