After Failed Robbery, Man Attacks Pedestrians with Machete on Lockheed Boulevard

One victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police are looking for two suspects.

A man was transported to a local hospital Sunday morning just after 1 a.m. after he was attacked with a machete on Lockheed Boulevard, according to Fairfax County Police.

The man was walking with another man at about 1 a.m. Sunday near the 3400 block of Lockheed Boulevard when they were approached by two suspects, police said.

The suspects demanded money, but the victims fled on foot, according to police. The suspects chased the victims and one suspect assaulted both victims with a machete, police said.

One victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The first suspect was described as a black male, 16-20 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. The second suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, and about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
