Veterans Day Openings and Closures

Some Fairfax County offices and services will be closed on Monday in observance of Veterans Day. Here's the lowdown:

Fairfax County Government is closed.

Fairfax County Public Schools are open.

Fairfax County courts will be closed.

Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) programs, activities and facilities, including Fastran services, will be closed.

Fairfax County Public Libraries are closed Sunday and Monday. Libraries will re-open Tuesday.

RECenters will be open on a regular schedule on Monday.

Community centers will be closed.

Nature and historic centers — Colvin Run/Sully Historic Sites, Hidden Oaks/Hidden Pond, Riverbend Visitor Center are closed on Monday.

Huntley Meadows Park Nature Center: Open noon to 5 p.m.

Frying Pan Farm Park: Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Visitor Center open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Green Spring Gardens will be open noon to 4:30 p.m. (historic house closed).

County trash and recycling: Regular collection

Banks

Burke and Herbert Bank, BB and T  – all branches closed on Veterans Day. TD Bank and Wells Fargo branches are open Monday.
