Volunteer for Back to School Physical Clinic

August 11, 2012 the Mount Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce and the Mount Vernon/Lee 501(c)3
Education Foundation, join with volunteers from the INOVA Health System, the Partnership for Healthier Kids, the Fairfax County Health Department, Molina South Health Clinic, Fort Belvoir and numerous local businesses and community leaders to provide uninsured children with physicals, immunizations and school supplies so they can start school on time.

The Back to School Physical Clinics are operated by
volunteer health care providers, interpreters and support personnel.  Each year at the South County Government Center, approximately 125 children receive physicals and immunizations, as necessary, along with application assistance to apply for health care services in order to have a medical home in the future.

If you can spare some time or would like to assist in any way, please contact Bonnie Lilley at 703-780-4844 or Katy Fike at kfike@mcenearney.com  We especially need translators.
