Mount Vernon Majors to Face Marshall Tonight

Majors football coach hopes the team gets back on track in tonight's game.

After suffering a crushing blow at last week's home opener against West Potomac, the Majors hope to get back on track at tonight's game against Marshall High School.

"[Friday] night’s game will be a challenge as are all games," Majors head coach Barry Wells said. "It's an opportunity to get back on track and get back to playing like we were in the preseason. Marshall has a tough bunch of players."

Three of the Majors' starters will not be playing in tonight's game. One starter, Michael Butts, sustained a season-ending concussion at Wells will put in three replacements, but hopes they will step up to the plate in the starters' absence.
