honor grad Eugene Coleman III, 18, will be attending West Point. Coleman plans on majoring in systems engineering and economics. He chose West Point because he wants to become an Army officer.
Coleman He also served as the Student Representative to the FCPS School Board during the 2011-2012 school year. His hobbies include working out, hanging out with friends, and going to the movies.

The inspiration behind my speech was the a culmination of the friends I've made and the experiences I've had while at Mount Vernon.

What was your reaction when you found out you had been named an honor grad?
I was ecstatic to hear I was named an honor grad.
What are your plans for the summer?
For the summer I plan to go on vacation with family next week and then go to the beach with friends the week after that. Then the rest of my vacation will be dedicated to Cadet Basic Training at West Point beginning July 2.
What will you miss about MVHS?
I will miss not seeing most of my friends on a regular basis.
What will you miss most about not being at home?
I will miss the freedom and fun of being at home.
