Rising Hope UMC Seeks School Supply Donations
Local church is collecting school supplies for kids in need.
is seeking donations of school supplies to distribute to kids in need along the Route 1 corridor.
The church has been inundated with requests for backpacks, notebooks, and other school supplies. Two hundred families have made requests for school supplies, but the church only has 10 backpacks to donate, said Children and Youth Minister Sula Tyler.
“Last year, a few lines of type proved powerful enough to yield 250 donated backpacks and hundreds of school supply items,” Tyler said.

School supplies needed include:
- Backpacks
- Three ring binders
- Notebooks
- Folders
- Colored pencils
- Pencils
- Markers
School supplies may be dropped off at Rising Hope after 10 a.m. Tuesday through Friday. For more information, email Sula Tyler at styler@risinghopeumc.org.
