Video: MVHS Ecology Club Tree Planting

MVHS students, faculty, and parents plant more than 400 trees on campus.

The Mount Vernon High School community commemorated Earth Day on Wednesday by planting more than 400 trees on school grounds.

This school-wide tree planting was spearheaded by the MVHS Ecology Club. According to advisor Matt Thompson, he had originally planned to plant 211 trees on campus. The club and its supporters exceeded that number and planted 425 trees, mainly oak varieties.
