The school showcased STEM projects from students.
Walt Whitman Middle School hosted its first STEM/STEAM Kickoff Showcase on Saturday.
Keynote speaker Dr. Carl B. Mack, Executive Director of the National Society of Black Engineers encouraged students to participate in as many STEM/STEAM activities as possible to building knowledge and skills in the field of engineering as a foundation for possible careers.
Earlier this month, Walt Whitman Middle School hosted its first robotics competition at West Potomac High School.
