Meron has been highly involved in the MVHS FBLA Club since her freshman year. She served as its president during the 2010-2011 school year and served as secretary the previous year. She will also maintain her post as State Vice-President of the Northern Virginia Region.

Meron is looking forward to her tenure as president of the regional FBLA club, and she has a full agenda in mind.

“I want to open the lines of communication between members and the FBLA office,” said Meron. “I also want to increase membership in the region and offer smaller conferences throughout the year.”

Meron is active in the business and history honor societies, the Young Democrats, Model UN, and the Debate Team.  She is also on the varsity tennis team and enjoys reading.

She is researching colleges, but her top two picks are Columbia and UCLA. She would ultimately like to become a lawyer, but wants to get her masters degree in business or international studies.

What has she learned from being involved in FBLA?

“I learned that anything is possible,” remarked Meron. “I never thought I’d be able to win an election, and you should at least try.”
