Mount Vernon Patriots Baseball Tryouts

Mount Vernon Patriots Travel Baseball Tryouts on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from  1PM to 7PM at Woodlawn Little League, Pole Road, Alexandria, VA.  In case of inclement weather we will hold them in the Walt Whitman Middle School Gym.

We are proud to announce and invite players in the community the opportunity to try out for our Baseball Travel Teams, which consists of a 10U, 12U, 14U team.  They will play in the spring and summer season in the Future Stars Prospects Baseball League (10U) and the Northern Virginia Travel Baseball League (12U, 14U).

***Age eligibility requires players to be of age or younger by May 1, 2012.***

This will be a commitment that includes both the spring & summer seasons. 

Please make sure you bring all your baseball gear to include your glove, bat, and catchers.  We will have a set of catchers gear on hand if needed.

If we are on the outdoor field please wear cleats, if we have to go with the inclement weather plan please remember that you must wear sneakers in the gym.

Tryouts will consist of drills to show your ability in the areas of fielding, throwing, catching, pitching, hitting, and base running.  This evaluation will provide us with all the information we need to make a decision on who is able to play at the Travel Baseball level.
