New Hope Housing Seeks Teams for Rock and Stroll Event

New Hope Housing needs a few more teams to participate in the annual event.

Local nonprofit is in need of a few more teams to join the Rock and Stroll to End Homelessness on Sept. 29.

Five local homeless service organizations will join forces to host the second annual Acacia Federal Rock and Stroll to End Homelessness. New Hope Housing joins Alive!, The Arlington-Alexandria Coalition for the Homeless, Community Lodgings, and Wesley Housing in hosting the event. All of these organizations joined forces in response to Fannie Mae cancelling the Walk to Help the Homeless fundraiser on the National Mall in 2011.

Hundreds of Alexandria residents are expected to participate in a Help the Homeless Community Walk, Cornhole Challenge, ZUMBA, hula hooping, jump roping, and games. All online registration fees will go towards the organization’s mission to help homeless individuals and families.
