Police: Man Exposed Himself Sunday to Mom and Daughter, 6, on Buckman Road

The information for this article was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department, Mount Vernon Police District. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Fairfax County Police reported this week that they have arrested a Mount Vernon-area resident, Clayton Vozniak, 56, as a suspect in an indecent exposure case. Police say that a woman reported to police that Vozniak, 56, exposed himself to her and her 6-year-old daughter at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday on the 4000 block of Buckman Street in the Mount Vernon area. Police arrested Vozniak for the alleged activity, charging him with indecent exposure and simulated masturbation. Virginia law states: "Every person who intentionally makes an obscene display or exposure of his person, or the private parts thereof, in any public place, or in any place where others are present, or procures another to so expose himself, shall be guilty of a Class 1 …

Crime Report: Three Arrested for Drunken Driving

The following incidents were reported to the Mount Vernon Police District up to April 29.

The following incidents were reported in the Mount Vernon District Police Station. Police arrested three for drunken driving on Friday as officers from the Mount Vernon Police District patrolled the area for intoxicated drivers. Three were charged with driving while intoxicated, twenty five summonses, and 29 warnings were issued, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. Robbery A 32-year-old reported that he was walking and counting his money when an unknown man snatched the cash and fled, according to police. The incident took place at 7:25 p.m. on Saturday on the 3100 block of Lockheed Boulevard in the Hybla Valley area. Two Mount Vernon Residents Charged with Failure to Provide Adequate Care to Animals

Carl Piper, 57, and Phyllis Piper, 56, of Alexandria, were each charged with five counts of duty of owner.

Two Mount Vernon residents were arrested and charged with failure to provide adequate care to pets on Sunday. Fairfax County Animal Control officers were initially called to the 8300 block of Brockham Drive in Mount Vernon at 10:55 a.m. Saturday to check on the welfare of cats. The officers returned several times. On Sunday, the officers made contact with the homeowners and five cats and four turtles were seized and transported to an animal hospital, according to a daily crime report issued by Fairfax County Police. Carl Piper, 57, and Phyllis Piper, 56, of Alexandria, were each charged with five counts of duty of owner (failure to provide adequate care) and one charge of unfit owner.

Police: Man Robbed by Two Men Brandishing a Gun in Mount Vernon

The following items are from the recent daily activity report from the Mount Vernon Police District of the Fairfax County Police Department. ROBBERY, Fielding Street/Havenwood Place, 4/22/13, 10:20 p.m. A 24-year-old reported he was sitting in a vehicle when two men approached. One suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money. They fled with the victim’s wallet. The victim was not injured. The suspects were described as black men, 20-25 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and skinny. They were wearing black clothing. Missing 5-Year-Old Cameron Serafin Found Safe; Mother Rebecca Arrested

The boy was found in a hotel in Las Vegas with his mother, who has been arrested and is being held as a fugitive from justice.

Fairfax County Police announced Wednesday that Cameron Serafin, the Fairfax County boy who has been missing since April 7, has been found safe and his mother Rebecca has been arrested. Investigators had been looking for Rebecca Serafin and her 5-year-old son since she did not return the boy to his father's home in Great Falls as scheduled.   “Following information they developed after viewing the video, LVPD [Las Vegas Police Department] detectives located Cameron and Rebecca Serafin at another hotel close by,” according to the Fairfax County Police Department release. “Cameron is safe and in good condition.
