The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is another favorite tradition that is enjoyed by more than 46 million people each year in person and on TV. At the Pioneer Farm on the Mount Vernon Estate, the fall harvest was commemorated with the Fall Harvest Family Days.
Visitors enjoyed fall colonial-themed activities at Fall Harvest Family Days this weekend at Historic Mount Vernon. Wagon rides, chocolate making demonstrations, and a maze were among the weekend's popular attractions.

Leaves are starting to turn in Mount Vernon.
Across Mount Vernon, the leaves are starting to change colors. Fall is here, and it's a time for change. Walkers, joggers, and cyclists take to the Mount Vernon Trail to enjoy panoramic views of the Potomac framed by trees.
