Majors Win Big on the Road, Move into Second Place

When the Mount Vernon Majors hosted the Yorktown Patriots in the first week of January, both teams were an undefeated 3-0 in conference play. And while the Majors lost that match 60-51, they did so without their leader Jesse Konadu. This time around, the Majors came in one game back of a 3-way tie for first place, and Konadu came determined to put them back on top, tying his 33-point season high en route to a 77-61 victory. Yorktown came out of the gates strong, hitting 7 of their first 8 shots from the field. The Majors were able to sustain the offensive outburst due to the great play of Konadu.
