ReReads Announces New Hours, New Programs

Mount Vernon’s independent bookstore will host many community programs during the first half of 2013.

Re.Reads Books, Mount Vernon’s only independent bookstore, has announced a slew of changes for the new year. Re.Reads Books now carries new titles in addition to used books, and has changed its name from reReads Used Books to Re.Reads Books to encompass the change. Owner Beth Conway has signed up with book distributor Ingram Books, and has started carrying their titles. “Some of the new titles I have now are 'Turn Right At Machu Picchu' by Mark Adams, 'Peril in Paperback' by Kate Carlisle, and 'Tears of a Tiger' by Sharon Draper,” Conway said in an email to Patch. “The first is a travel book voted best of the year by the Washington Post and Men's Journal, the second is a mystery, and the third is a young adult book dealing with loss and …
