1. UPDATE (1/18, 8:56 a.m.): All Fairfax County Public Schools are closed today. All after-school programs and extracurricular activities are cancelled. Tonight's basketball games are cancelled. High School Sports: Tonight, the Mount Vernon boys' and girls' JV and Varsity basketball teams take on Falls Church High School. The girls' basketball team is at home, while the boys' team is away. Tip-off for the girls' varsity team is at 7:30 p.m. Come out and support the Majors! If you can't make it out to the games, we'll have game coverage on Mount Vernon Patch tomorrow morning. 2.
