MVHS Girls Track Dominates Regionals; Advances to States
The 4x400 meter relay team took fourth place overall.

On Saturday at the Northern Region Championships the Mount Vernon girls track and field team advanced two individuals and one relay to the VHSL AAA State Championship next weekend. Junior Jasmine Hill broke into the top 10 in the United States with her time of 1:15.89, to be ranked tenth in the country. She was the Northern Region runner-up in the 500 meter dash, losing only to the US #1 runner by 2/10ths of a second. This performance set a new school record for a 3rd time so far this season, and ranks her now 3rd in the state of Virginia in the AAA 500 meter dash.
