ReplyYes crossing on Rt 1 IS a problem and those ridiculous warning signs are useless. In the military that amount of money being spent on them is referred to as "waste, fraud and abuse". Regarding crosswalks...I regularly see kids trying to cross Old Mt. Vernon Rd. at the crosswalk in front of the school at 7AM to no avail. Cars just zoom by not stopping which they are required to do if someone is in the crosswalk...it is the law folks! Saw a cop there with a speed gun recently but he was there at 2PM when it isn't a problem. He needs to be there at 7AM.

Absolutely, Don! What a shock it was for me when we moved from post (no sign zone) to the Mt Vernon Hwy area where there was a huge sign war ongoing to the point that opposing sign owners had spotlights and motion control video to prevent sign theft. Sheesh! I am also an equal opportunity sign hater.

ReplyI love Fibre Space! I've taken a couple classes already and always find the atmosphere fun and the selection of yarn is like being in a candy store. It is one of my favorite places away from home!
