Community Yard Sale
Event at 9 a.m. Saturday at Stony Brook Apartments. "Thousands of items for sale in our indoor community center. 400+ sq feet of space with everything from gently used designer clothes, sports coats, suits, women's clothing, and shoes to never used toys, hundreds of books, garden tools, and much, much more. All proceeds will go towards the educational savings accounts of resident youth."

Fort Hunt Concert
Event at 7 p.m. Sunday at Fort Hunt Park. "The Mount Vernon Concert Band, an ensemble of the Mount Vernon Community Band, will perform Sunday, August 11th, 7:00-8:00 pm, at Fort Hunt Park. Come out and hear your community band in concert."

Wolf Trap Talent
It's another packed weekend at the Filene Center at the Wolf Trap in Vienna. The weekend is filled with duos, Don McLean and Judy Collins on Friday, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin on Saturday and Peter Frampton and B.B. King on Sunday. But it's a whole other experience come Monday when Ke$ha takes the stage.

Back to School Physicals Clinic 
Free physicals and immunizations for uninsured children so they can start school on time. They'll also provide back to school supplies, backpacks, bike helmets to promote physical activity and age appropriate books to encourage reading. 8 a.m. Saturday, South County Government Center, 8350 Richmond Highway. To make an appointment, call 703-698-2550.
